What can I say

Well you may or may not have noticed that I have been absent for a while.

Well I am trying to be around a bit more and trying to fill a void.

My mum died suddenly last week and I have lost track of all I was and all I want to do. I have this void and I am not sure what will fill it.

Being around here and haunting other places I find keeps my mind off of things.

Thats all really.

I just dont know what to say.

I am being rubbish again!

Well after making a point last time of saying I would be on Buzznet more I seem to find myself tied up doing other things.

I now have a new job being a care worker which I do three days a week and the rest of the time is devoted to Harrison, who has his forst birthday coming up next week.

I am continuing to read alot which is driving the hubby crazy as he claims I never speak to him anymore I just read (I am sure thats not true)

For the first time in years next week I am going to the Zoo and I cant wait, its Harrisons birthday treat but I am so excited about pointing out all the animals to him and weather permitting having a picnic.

I am looking forward to June. For my birthday (29 years old) a girlfriend and I are going to London for the weekend and partying Friday night then so much needed retail therapy on the Saturday (watch out credit card) and Saturday we going to see Wicked. In case any of you happen to be in London I am going to be at Stanza on Friday night circa 10 ish for Cocktails and Champagne.

I will put some pictures on here soon as soon as I find the lead for my camera I have no idea where it has gone I suspect one of the cats.

Ages

Ok its been ages since I was last on Buzznet and I realise I have been rather tardy with posting photos and journals, so I have put some new photos on of me and Harrison taken last week. Ok whats new with me well Harrison is now 10 months old and crawling all round the house and I seem to spend all my time moving things out of reach. I am currently out of work after just being made redundant which is both good and bad, good because I get to spend lots more time with Harrison and bad because I can no longer afford to fund my three addictions, shoes, bags and books. I am very much looking forward to my first Mothers Day on Sunday I am hoping Harrison will spoil me and maybe say Mum for the first time (fingers crossed) What else is new, oh I am loving the Immortals after dark series by Kresley Cole, if you get the chance to read any do they are classed as paranormal romance. I am also loving Jango. I went to see Metallica 2 weeks ago at the O2 arena in London and wow I was blown away I love Metallica and I was not dissapointed. James rocks!! I am on a major diet and health kick at the moment, I have two weddings to go to this year and I want to look awesome. The fitness bit is trying to work my ankle a bit after breaking it, its still really sore. Ok thats all I can think of for now so I promise I will be on Buzznet a bit more and will start posting more comments. Love you all.

Its been ages

I cant believe how long it has been since I was last on Buzznet. As you can all imagine my beautiful baby boy, how is getting so big now (6 months this weekend) seems to fill up every moment of the day and when he goes to bed so do I as I am just so tired.

I hope you are all keeping well and I would like to say I will read some of the bulletins and posts but I wont it would take me forever.

So other than being a mum whats new with me, well on the 28th of this month I have to go to hospital again as they are trying to decide wether to remove the remaining pin in my ankle (from when I broke it on Christmas Eve last year) its so sore and when the weather ths wet or cold its really stiff. I also havent been able to do any excercise so now I really need to go on a diet before I become a massive blob.

We had a great Halloween and we dressed Harrison up as a devil and a pumpkin and he looked really cute, I hope you agree.

I am now trying to figure out what to do about work, with money the way it is at the moment I have to work but the thought of leaving Harrison is enough to break my heart, I am sure when I do start back it will be ok but I am suffering from lots of internal conflict. I havent even left him over night yet!

Other boring life update include getting a newer car, having the garden landscaped so now I dont really have to do anything to it and I have new next door neighbours. Other than that not much else going on so I will end this post here to save it from being really boring.

6 weeks on.

Hey everyone,

Sorry I havent been around much to post comments and reply to messages but my hands have been full with little Harrison.

We have now been a family for coming up to 7 weeks although it feels like Harrison has always been here with me. People always tell you how things will change when you have a baby but I never quite believed it. I spent the first week at home trying to get my head around being a mum and dealing with the baby blues. I have never really suffered with my emotions so when the blues hit I was knocked for six, I spent most of the time crying and feeling guilty because I thought I was failing as a mum. Once I started to adjust to the bad sleeping I got things into perspective and settled in to being a mum.

We have no real routine yet but we are working on it.

Harrison changes so much with everyday he is now cooing at me and making other funny noises. He suffers very badly from wind and when he is crying it sounds like he is saying oh god.

Below are photos from each week so far so you can all see how he has changed.

Just as I am finishing uploading the photos the boy has woken up so I guess that will have to be it for now.

New Arrival

Just to let you know that Harrison Patrick Beaken was born at 21:40 on the 15th May. He is doing well and I am very tired as is to be expected. I will post pictures and a longer journal when I get 5 minutes.

Update

Its been 9 weeks since I broke my ankle and I have just had two of the pins removed. I am still not walking on it and start physio in 2 weeks so fingers crossed things will be back to normal soon. As a couple of you know I am 7 months pregnant and our son is due on the 14th May both my husband and I are very excited and cant wait for him to be here although we havent brought anything yet or even decorated the nursery. I have spent most of today without electricity it would appear some gremlins moved into the wiring over night. I think that will do it for now.

Worst Christmas Ever!!

I hope you all had a really great time over Christmas. I can safely say mine was the worst ever and if you think you had worse please let me know.

Finished work on Friday the 21st everything was going great, I had everything in ready for all the family coming to stay with us for Christmas.

Christmas Eve I fall over and break and my ankle and fracture my femur! I then spent the whole of Christmas in hospital waiting for an operation to pin and plate my ankle.

I got released on New years eve and now can not put any weight on it for 8 weeks which means no work and no money and it hurts a lot!!

I finally opened my pressies on New Years Eve but have totally missed all the things I love about Christmas, still there is always next yer.

Thankfully it is the last day of work today and now I have 2 weeks off.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope you have a great time.

I am cooking Christmas lunch for the family this year so no doubt I will have a busy day but I am really looking forward to it.
